The Black Ink Festival's 2021 keynote speaker and author Kwame Mbalia was recently featured in an Orlando Magazine article, "In Focus: Diversity in Kids’ Books." Diversify the Classroom listed the first title of his trilogy, "Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the Sky," as one of their favorite books for grade levels 4-5.
Mbalia just recently published the book's sequel, "Tristan Strong Destroys the World." The author will be speaking at the 2021 free virtual festival on Jan. 16.
